Lizette Corro, President and CEO

Lizette Corro is President and Chief Executive Officer of Corro Nobil Associates, a strategic planning and consulting firm. Prior to founding Corro Nobil Associates she was Chief Executive Officer of Linder & Associates (2009 to 2014) and President and Chief Executive Officer of The Webster Group (2006 to 2009), two strategic planning, fundraising and global event management agencies, where she developed and implemented growth strategies and events that substantially increased each firms’ revenues and visibility. 

Prior to these roles, Ms. Corro was Senior Vice President of Resource Development for America's Promise - The Alliance for Youth and a Managing Director of Orr Associates, Inc., a consulting firm that specializes in strategic planning, board development, capital campaigns, foundation management, and event management where she led highly successful fundraising campaigns and special events for major non-profit organizations on and international basis.

Ms. Corro was the Director of Catering for the ANA (now Fairmont) Hotel from 1994 to 1999, and for ten years prior to that led an earlier incarnation of Corro Nobil Associates which focused on consulting to the hospitality industry on marketing issues, strategic planning and the development and implementation of revenue-enhancing action plans. This initiative grew out of more than ten years of experience in senior hospitality industry roles, including executive positions at the Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons and Madison hotels.

From 1972 to 1975, Ms. Corro was Assistant Chief of Protocol at the Inter-American Development Bank.  

Ms. Corro currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of World Central Kitchen, the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the National Cherry Blossom Festival, the Cornerstone Council of the Trust for the National Mall, and the Boards of Directors of the International Spy Museum, the Orchestra of the Americas Group and Edens Community Enrichment Foundation. She is an Associate Member of the Board of Visitors of Children’s National Medical Center.

In the past, Ms. Corro has served on the Board of Trustees of the National Museum of Women in the Arts; Advisory Boards of Directors of Women of Washington; Leadership Council of Cesar Chavez Public Charter Schools, The Washington Ballet, Chair of the Board of the Latino Student Fund, and as President, Vice President, and Secretary of Les Dames d’Escoffier. She also has been actively involved in supporting the Smithsonian Folk Life Festival, the Care Foundation, Lombardi Cancer Center, Knock Out Abuse Against Women, St. Patrick’s Episcopal Day School and St. Albans School.

Ms. Corro holds a B.A. from American University's School of International Service and completed course work for her Masters from the University of Virginia. She completed the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility Program at Harvard Business School in 2007, is a member of the Class of 2008 of Leadership Greater Washington, a member of the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Greater Washington Urban League Guild, PathNorth, Charter 100, Les Dames d’Escoffier, and the International Friendship Club. She was honored with the Distinguished Dame award by the membership of Les Dames d’Escoffier and was one of the recipients of the Women Who Means Business Award in 2024 from the Washington Business Journal. Ms. Corro has both Panamanian and United States citizenship and is fluent in both Spanish and English.
